Windsor Spitfires Alumni Making Waves with the Edmonton Oilers: A Look at the Rising Stars and Coaches
Windsor is becoming a hub for the Edmonton Oilers, with several former Windsor Spitfires players and staff joining the team. D.J. Smith, Paul McFarland, and Peter Aubry are among the Windsor natives who have taken on coaching roles with the Oilers. Warren Rychel, Keith Gretzky, and Rick Pracey, who have ties to the Spitfires, also hold positions within the Oilers organization. Pracey, who still resides in Essex County, added two more Spitfires players to the Oilers roster by selecting Andrew Robinson and Caden Harvey in the draft.
