Buffalo Sabres Welcome Milan Lucic as Pro Scout and Announce New Organizational Hires

The Buffalo Sabres have added former Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic to their team as a pro scout. Lucic, who was drafted by the Bruins in 2006, had a successful career in the NHL playing for various teams including the Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, and Calgary Flames. He announced his retirement from the league in June after playing in 1,177 career NHL games and winning the Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011.

In addition to Lucic, the Sabres also announced several other new hires and promotions within the organization. Stacy Roest has been named the director of player personnel and general manager of the Rochester Americans, while Tim Kennedy has been appointed as the director of player development. Neil Komadoski will serve as the assistant director of pro scouting, Derek Dorsett as a forward development coach, and Jarkko Ruutu as a European development coach.

Lucic expressed his gratitude for his career in professional hockey, thanking the Bruins for giving him his start and helping him reach new heights as a player. His experience and knowledge of the game will be valuable assets to the Sabres as he transitions into his new role as a pro scout.
