Crunchyroll has revealed that five fan-selected episodes will be shown on July 20 as part of their Anime Nights series. Viewers in the United States and Canada can already purchase tickets for the screenings.
Originally published online from 2012 to 2017, the manga Mob Psycho 100 has garnered a massive following. The anime adaptation premiered its first season in 2016, followed by the second season in 2019 and the upcoming third season in 2022. The story revolves around Mob, an eighth grader with extraordinary psychic powers who simply desires a normal life.
In a separate anime update, the director of the Ghost in the Shell remake clarified that no generative AI technology was utilized in the production of the series. Toma “Mokochan” Kimura from Science Saru, the anime production company behind the show, shared insights at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Festival. He explained that the team opted for unique, worm-like lettering for street signs instead of using generative AI, emphasizing that the project was entirely GenAI-free.
