Cardi B Settles $110,000 Legal Fee Dispute with Tasha K: Details and Terms

Cardi B has reached a settlement with Tasha K regarding a $110,000 legal fee dispute, agreeing to pay $60,000 in two installments. Tasha K's husband and two companies have guaranteed the debt, making them responsible if she fails to make payments. The legal battle stemmed from Tasha K violating a non-disparagement clause in her bankruptcy repayment plan by discussing Cardi B's ex-husband, Offset, in her posts.
Cardi B's attorneys incurred over $110,000 in fees for monitoring Tasha K's online activities and preparing legal documents. The dispute arose after Tasha K's lawyer submitted a brief with fabricated case citations. This conflict is part of a larger legal feud that began in 2019 when Cardi B sued Tasha K for defamation, resulting in a $4 million jury verdict in Cardi's favor in 2022.
As per the settlement terms, Tasha K must pay $30,000 within 28 days and another $30,000 by December 31, 2026. Her husband and two companies have guaranteed the payments, and if she defaults, the full $110,115.76 becomes immediately due from all parties involved. Tasha K's lawyer, Chad Van Horn, still owes Cardi B $2,231.84 personally, separate from his client's payments.
The settlement does not affect Cardi B's separate lawsuit against Tasha K's company, Yelen Entertainment, alleging fraudulent asset transfers. The gag order prohibiting Tasha K from discussing Cardi B, Offset, or Stefon Diggs remains in place until the settlement is paid off.
