ESPN Relocates to NFL's Hollywood Park Headquarters: Enhancing Collaboration and Creativity

ESPN is making a move from its downtown Los Angeles location to the NFL's headquarters at Hollywood Park in Inglewood. The Walt Disney Co.'s sports media unit expressed excitement about consolidating ESPN's L.A.-based studio content in one location to enhance creativity and collaboration, with potential for future expansion. The move will see ESPN's productions like "NBA Today" and "WNBA Countdown" relocate to the NFL's Los Angeles headquarters near SoFi Stadium, while KSPN, ESPN's local radio outlet, will continue broadcasting from the L.A. Live location next to Crypto.com Arena.
The NFL's 10% equity stake in ESPN last year led to ESPN overseeing NFL Media, including the NFL Network and the RedZone channel, with production facilities at the Hollywood Park location. The relocation of ESPN's operations is expected to be completed by early September, ahead of ESPN's first Super Bowl production at SoFi Stadium in Feb. 2027. Despite reports of potential layoffs at ESPN, a source familiar with the matter indicated that the move to Hollywood Park will not result in job cuts for the approximately 160 employees at the L.A. Live location. Most employees will transfer to Hollywood Park, while others will move to a Disney location in Glendale.
