Independence Day Weekend Celebrations in the Greater Rochester Area: Events and Activities for All Ages
The upcoming Independence Day weekend in the Greater Rochester Area offers a variety of events and activities for everyone to enjoy. Celebrations for the United States' 250th Birthday will be taking place in multiple towns and organizations throughout the area. The Rochester Red Wings will have home games against Lehigh Valley with fireworks displays on Friday and Saturday, as well as a bobblehead giveaway on Sunday. The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra will also be performing on July 3. Tickets for the Red Wings games can be purchased online. The Strong National Museum of Play will host Fourth of July activities for kids, including making popsicle magnets and "everlasting sparklers." Music on the Marina at Arrowhead Golf Course & Marina will feature live music by Dave Marron. Dave & Buster's in Rochester will hold the Red, White, & Play Fest with unlimited video game play, live music, contests, and a BBQ Banquet. The annual summer BBQ Bash at Hotel Canandaigua will feature live music by country band 33 Thunder. Spencerport's Music on the Canal series will continue with a performance by Timeline Band. The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra will perform outdoors at the Perinton Center Park Amphitheater. The Genesee Country Village & Museum will offer educational programs on the history of freedom, including Black freedom in Western New York and beyond. Roc Artists Open Market at Innovation Square will feature artisans, small businesses, food, music, and activities. The market will be open on Sundays until October 24.
