Rush Postpones Fort Worth Concerts Due to Geddy Lee's Health Issues

Rush has had to postpone two of their upcoming concerts in Fort Worth, Texas, due to frontman Geddy Lee being diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. The conditions affect his vocal cords and bronchial tubes, making it impossible for him to sing. Guitarist Alex Lifeson shared the news in a video on the band's Facebook page, explaining that Lee woke up with these health issues and could not speak, let alone perform at sound check. The band expressed their deep regret in having to reschedule the shows but emphasized the importance of giving their best performance to their fans.

The band announced that the June 30 and July 2 shows in Fort Worth would be moved to July 11 and July 13, respectively, to allow Lee time to rest and recover. Rush acknowledged the disappointment this news brings to their fans, especially those who had made travel arrangements to attend the concerts. They assured that all previously purchased tickets would be honored for the rescheduled dates and provided information on obtaining refunds for those unable to attend. Rush thanked their fans for their patience and understanding during this challenging time and expressed their eagerness to return to the stage once Lee has fully recovered.

The band's tour, named the Fifty Something tour, began in June and is scheduled to continue through December, with upcoming shows in Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver. Rush is set to perform four shows in Toronto in August and will embark on an international leg of the tour in the new year. Despite the setbacks caused by Lee's health issues, the band remains committed to delivering exceptional performances to their dedicated fan base.
