Sammy Hagar Rocks The Theater at MGM National Harbor: A Celebration of Van Halen's 5150 Album

Sammy Hagar recently performed two sold-out shows at The Theater at MGM National Harbor as part of The Best of All Worlds Tour. The concert celebrated the 40th anniversary of Van Halen's 5150 album, featuring a setlist that spanned the band's history. Hagar, along with guitarist Joe Satriani, bassist Michael Anthony, and drummer Kenny Aronoff, delivered over two hours of music, starting with the hit "Why Can't This Be Love."
During the performance, Michael Anthony took the lead vocals on "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," and Joe Satriani impressed the audience by incorporating a snippet of "Eruption" into the encore. Hagar also shared the backstory of "Love Walks In," a song he co-wrote with Eddie Van Halen at 5150 studio.
Throughout the show, Hagar engaged with the audience, leading an "Eddie" chant during the encore and signing autographs for fans between songs. He even poured tequila into the front row and tossed cans of his beer to fans near the stage during the performance of "Cabo Wabo / Mas Tequila."
The tour commemorates the 40th anniversary of 5150, marking Hagar's debut as Van Halen's lead singer. Following the North American leg, the band will head to Europe before starting a residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. With over a year of touring under their belt, Sammy Hagar and his bandmates continue to captivate audiences worldwide. Check out Sammy Hagar's website for upcoming tour dates.
