Born as Tanner Elle Schneider in Los Angeles, California, Elle King spent her formative years in Ohio with her mother and stepfather. Her musical journey began when she was introduced to The Donnas at a young age, igniting her passion for music. King pursued her artistic interests at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, studying painting and film.

Elle King's personal life has also been in the spotlight, with relationships with Andrew Ferguson and Jim before finding love and stability with tattoo artist Dan Tooker. Together, they share two sons, Lucky Levi Tooker and Royal Tooker, and have recently settled in Nashville, where they have purchased a new home.

With the release of her debut album, "Love Stuff," in 2015, Elle King achieved mainstream success with the breakout single "Ex's & Oh's."
