Edmonton Oilers Sign Shakir Mukhamadullin to Two-Year Contract Worth $3.5 Million

The Edmonton Oilers have secured the services of Shakir Mukhamadullin, one of their arbitration-eligible restricted free agents, by signing him to a two-year contract worth $3.5 million. The deal, announced by agent Dan Milstein of Gold Star, includes a $1.75 million average annual value. In the upcoming season, Mukhamadullin will earn $1.55 million in salary along with a $200,000 signing bonus, followed by a $1.75 million salary in the 2027-28 season, which will also serve as his qualifying offer at that time.
Mukhamadullin, a 24-year-old defenseman, is set to join his third NHL team after being selected in the first round by the New Jersey Devils in 2020. Despite being drafted by the Devils, he never played a game for them as he was later involved in a trade that brought Timo Meier to New Jersey from San Jose. Recently, Mukhamadullin was a key piece in the trade that sent Darnell Nurse to the Sharks.
