Fatal Shooting in Fayetteville: Seeking Justice for Victims

A tragic incident occurred in Fayetteville early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a man and the injury of a juvenile. Police responded to a report of shots fired on Newark Avenue around 4 a.m. and discovered multiple shell casings at the scene. A man with a gunshot wound was found on State Avenue a few blocks away and was pronounced dead by EMS.

A male under the age of 18 arrived at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with a gunshot wound related to the same incident. Fortunately, he is expected to recover from his injuries. The Fayetteville Police Department is actively investigating the case, although no suspect information has been released. Police have assured the public that there is no immediate threat to safety.
