Tragic ATV Crash Claims Life of 16-Year-Old in North Omaha

A tragic incident occurred in North Omaha late Saturday night, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old boy in an ATV crash. The accident took place at the intersection of Florence Boulevard and Locust Street around 11:30 p.m. The ATV, traveling north on Florence, was struck by an eastbound Pontiac Sedan at the intersection. The impact caused the ATV driver to be thrown from the vehicle, and despite being taken to the hospital by Omaha Fire Department medics, the boy succumbed to his injuries. It was noted that the boy was not wearing a helmet during the crash.

Fortunately, the driver of the Pontiac, a 42-year-old woman, and the occupant escaped unharmed from the collision.
