Nebraska Cornhuskers Land Top Recruit Khalil Taylor for 2027 Class

Nebraska football has secured a commitment from Khalil Taylor, a talented and quick wide receiver for their 2027 recruiting class. Taylor, a four-star recruit, is ranked as the 81st overall player in the 2027 class and the 13th player at his position. He chose Nebraska over other top schools like Alabama, Colorado, and Penn State after making official visits to each campus.
During his junior season at Pine-Richland, Taylor showcased his skills with 33 catches for 571 yards and 16 touchdowns in 12 games. He also made an impact on defense with 22 tackles, three tackles for loss, four pass breakups, three interceptions, and a sack. Additionally, he contributed on special teams with six total returns for scores.
In his sophomore year at Seaton LaSalle in 2024, Taylor was named the KDKA Super 7 2A Player of the Year for his outstanding performance, helping his team to an 11-1 record and a championship game appearance. He recorded 51 catches for 932 yards and 22 touchdowns that season, showcasing his versatility and playmaking ability.
Taylor's commitment adds to the impressive 2027 recruiting class for the Cornhuskers, which already features top-50 four-star quarterback Trae Taylor. The addition of Khalil Taylor brings speed, skill, and playmaking ability to Nebraska's roster, setting the stage for an exciting future for the team.
