Shooting Incident in Parkchester: Man Shot in the Head Near Archer Street and White Plains Road
A man was shot in the head in Parkchester on Monday evening, according to the NYPD. The incident occurred near Archer Street and White Plains Road just before 8:15 p.m. Surveillance footage obtained by News 12 captured the violent act, showing the victim in a group when the shooter approached him, tapped him with the gun, and fired. The victim was promptly taken to Jacobi Hospital by EMS and is currently in critical condition as of 9 p.m. Police cordoned off a section of the sidewalk with crime scene tape to collect evidence.
