Alabama Shakes have revealed details about their upcoming album 'I Must Be Dreaming,' their first release in 11 years. The album is scheduled to be released on August 28 through Island Records. The band, consisting of Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, and Zac Cockrell, will also release their latest single, 'I Feel Hope Coming,' on July 10. After a hiatus in 2018, the band returned last August with 'Another Life,' followed by the political single 'American Dream.' The album explores themes of love, mortality, human connection, and the contradictions of modern life, with a richly textured, psychedelic soul sound. Produced by the band and Shawn Everett, the album is a continuation of their musical exploration from their previous album 'Sound & Color.' Brittany Howard expressed hope and joy in the band's collaboration on the new single, emphasizing the importance of holding onto hope in the face of political lies.
