Matthew Rhys Earns Two Emmy Nominations for Outstanding Performances in 'Widow's Bay' and 'The Beast in Me

Matthew Rhys has received two Emmy nominations this TV season for his performances in different categories. He is up for lead actor in a comedy series for his role as Tom Loftis in Apple TV's horror-comedy series "Widow's Bay." Rhys also earned a nomination for lead actor in a limited or anthology series for his portrayal of Nile Jarvis in Netflix's "The Beast in Me." This isn't Rhys' first time being recognized by the Emmys, as he has received five nominations in the past for his work in shows like "The Americans" and "Perry Mason." The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 14 in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.
