U2 Releases New Single 'Street of Dreams' and Announces Upcoming Album

U2, the iconic rock band known for their stadium performances, has released a new single titled "Street of Dreams" along with a music video. The song features uplifting harmonies and a catchy chorus, with frontman Bono singing in Spanish at one point. The music video was shot in Mexico City during the Street Child World Cup 2026 final, where the band performed on the street amidst enthusiastic fans.

During the filming of the video, a generator failure led the band to be invited onto a nearby balcony by local residents, where the rest of the video was filmed. The upcoming album, produced by longtime collaborator Garret "Jacknife" Lee, is set to be released later this year, although the title and exact release date are yet to be announced.

U2's last studio album of new music, "Songs of Experience," was released in 2017, followed by "Songs of Surrender" in 2023, which featured new recordings of older U2 songs. In February, the band released the EP "Days of Ash," which included protest songs. Since their formation in 1976 in Dublin, U2 has become one of the most successful bands in the world, selling over 175 million records and winning 22 Grammy Awards.

With a discography of 15 studio albums, U2 continues to draw massive crowds to their stadium shows, where fans eagerly anticipate hearing classics like "With or Without You," "Sunday Bloody Sunday," and "Beautiful Day." The band's new single and upcoming album are sure to excite their dedicated fan base and attract new listeners with their signature sound and powerful lyrics.
