Dancing Words Tour Preview: John Mellencamp's Greatest Hits and Rare Songs
John Mellencamp recently treated fans to a preview of his upcoming Dancing Words Tour during an open rehearsal at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. The rehearsal featured a mix of classic hits and rare songs that Mellencamp hasn't performed in years. Some of the standout tracks included "R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A. (A Salute to 60’s Rock)," "Love and Happiness," "Wild Night," and "I Need A Lover."
In addition to the rare songs, Mellencamp also performed a selection of his greatest hits, such as "Ain’t Even Done With The Night," "Small Town," "Lonely Ol’ Night," "Jack & Diane," "Rain on the Scarecrow," "Authority Song," "Crumblin’ Down," "Pink Houses," "Check It Out," "Cherry Bomb," and "Hurt So Good." Fans were encouraged to bring nonperishable items for donation to the Evansville Rescue Mission in exchange for entry to the free rehearsal.
