Lucas Museum of Narrative Art: Free Admission for 90037 Residents and LM37 Passholders

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is set to open in Exposition Park this fall, offering free admission to residents of the 90037 ZIP code. The museum will also host a special preview day for community members before the grand opening on September 22. Tickets will be available for reservation starting next week, with priority access given to museum members. CEO Tracey Bates described the 300,000-square-foot building as comforting and familiar, showcasing a collection of over 40,000 works that highlight diverse artists.

Residents living in the 90037 ZIP code can sign up for the LM37 pass, which grants free entry for themselves and a guest. A portion of tickets will be reserved for passholders for various museum events. The LM37 program will launch in August, and interested individuals can register for the pass online. Additionally, a community preview day on September 13 will be held for partners, local business owners, and civic leaders, with tickets distributed through various channels.

Founding members of the museum will have early access to tickets, with different membership tiers gaining entry at specific times. General ticket sales will begin on July 21, with prices set at $25 for adults and $21 for seniors. All tickets are timed entry and can be shared with others in your party. Free tickets will be available for children, founding members, military personnel, personal aides, attendants, and EBT cardholders. The museum aims to inspire the next generation of storytellers by offering free admission options to a wide audience.

More tickets will be released based on demand, and next year's programming will be announced later. With the upcoming 2028 Olympics, the museum hopes to attract visitors from around the world and encourage them to explore other cultural attractions in Exposition Park. The museum is proud to be a part of Los Angeles' rich history and cultural landscape, offering a unique experience for visitors to enjoy.
