When questioned about why he deleted the invite, Garret explained to Melissa that he thought the text was spam and didn't recognize the sender's name. Despite the mix-up, Melissa eventually forgave her husband, who had worked with Taylor in the past at their music studio in Topanga, California. The couple had even shared a dinner with Taylor, making the missed wedding invite even more regrettable.
