Film Seekers has acquired the worldwide sales rights for the comedy-drama film "Out There" directed by Simon Ryninks. The movie is set to premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival next month. The story revolves around a rebellious 16-year-old in a small Welsh seaside town who believes a UFO sighting is connected to her father's disappearance. The cast includes newcomers Nerys Amber Stocks and Tom Moya, along with well-known actors like Michael Sheen, Aneurin Barnard, Iwan Rheon, and Alice Lowe.
"Out There" marks Ryninks' debut feature and is produced by Tibo Travers of Sweetdoh Films and Katie Dolan of Bad Cat. The film was developed with support from the BFI, Film Cymru Wales, and the TIFF Filmmaker Lab, with funding from various organizations including the BFI, Ffilm Cymru Wales, the Welsh government through Creative Wales, and the Arts Council of Wales.
