Arrest Made in Connection to Fatal Shooting at Petersburg Park: Jarvis Garrett Charged with Murder
Louisville Police have arrested Jarvis Garrett in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred in Petersburg Park in 2024. The victim, Takieo Thomas, was found shot to death in the 5000 block of East Indian Trail on May 16, 2024. Garrett has been charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He is currently in custody at the Fayette County Detention Center on unrelated charges and was served with the new charges while in custody.
