Thames Valley Police to Interview Virginia Giuffre's Family in Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Investigation

Police investigating allegations against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor are set to travel to the U.S. to interview Virginia Giuffre's family. The Thames Valley Officers will be speaking to Virginia's relatives regarding the sexual misconduct accusations made against the former royal. Andrew has consistently denied these allegations. He was arrested on his 66th birthday in February on suspicion of misconduct in a public office at his Sandringham residence, but was later released under investigation. Following his arrest, Virginia's brother Sky Roberts and Daniel Wilson expressed relief and gratitude for the investigation and arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Thames Valley Police confirmed in May that they were investigating claims of sexual misconduct allegedly involving the ex-Duke. It is now reported that officers will be interviewing Sky and Amanda Roberts, Virginia's brother and sister-in-law. Virginia had sued Andrew in 2021, alleging that she was coerced into having sexual relations with him on three occasions when she was a teenager. Despite an out-of-court settlement where Andrew paid an estimated £12 million to Virginia, it does not imply an admission of guilt on his part. Virginia was also a key figure in the downfall of Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender who had ties to Andrew. The former Duke of York has denied any wrongdoing in connection to Ms. Giuffre or Epstein.

The police investigation into Andrew has expanded to include his tenure as the UK trade envoy from 2001 to 2011. The investigation will look into allegations of fraud, corruption, bullying, and perverting justice. Thames Valley Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright expressed hope that alleged victims would come forward and provide information to aid the investigation. The police are speaking to various witnesses and encourage anyone with relevant information to reach out to them.

The investigation has been broadened to include other potential aspects of misconduct in public office, which carries a maximum life sentence. More than three million documents and videos related to Epstein have been released by the US Justice Department, with some files suggesting that Andrew shared details of royal visits and investment opportunities. The police are diligently examining these materials to uncover any potential misconduct. The investigation remains ongoing, and the authorities are committed to thoroughly exploring all leads and evidence to ensure justice is served.
