CSU Hosts Inaugural Collegiate All-Star Rodeo and Brad Paisley Concert in Fort Collins
Colorado State University made history by hosting the inaugural Collegiate All-Star Rodeo as part of the Bulls and Beats weekend in Fort Collins. The event featured 60 student athletes from across the country competing in various rodeo disciplines to claim the first-ever title. CSU senior McKinlee May represented the Rams and secured a win for the South team in the barrel race event.
Despite the intense competition, the North team emerged victorious in the end, claiming the championship. Following the rodeo, country star Brad Paisley took the stage at Canvas Stadium, delighting fans who had gathered for the event. Paisley's performance attracted fans like Lance and Nicole Kruse, who traveled from Parker for a night out. The couple, avid concertgoers, praised Paisley's energetic and engaging performances.
For 15-year-old PBR fan Ryan Organ, the rodeo and Paisley's concert were a dream come true. Organ, accompanied by his family, enjoyed meeting Dale Brisby and watching the competition unfold. While Organ expressed interest in amateur riding, his mom Robin was more cautious. Paisley's concert brought together fans of all ages, with people singing along and dancing to his music throughout the night.
The excitement continues with the PBR Teams season officially kicking off in Fort Collins on July 11-12. Bailey Zimmerman is set to perform on July 11, followed by Miranda Lambert on July 12. Fans can still secure last-minute tickets through CSU's athletic ticketing website to witness the thrilling rodeo action and live performances. Don't miss out on the chance to be part of this exciting event!
