Rescue at Lone Rock Point: Woman Recovering After Fall

A woman is currently in recovery at the University of Vermont Medical Center following a fall of 10 to 15 feet at Lone Rock Point. The incident occurred just before 6:30 p.m., prompting the Burlington Fire Department to respond to the park where the woman had fallen from the path onto the shore of Lake Champlain. The challenging terrain necessitated the assistance of the U.S. Coast Guard, who helped in transporting the victim. The Coast Guard safely placed the woman in a litter and transferred her onto a boat, where paramedics from the fire department provided medical treatment during the journey to the Coast Guard station. Fortunately, her injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening. Visitors to Lone Rock Point are advised to exercise caution in light of this incident.
