Introducing the Shawn Mendes Signature Guitars: 000-28 and 000-10E by C. F. Martin & Co.
C. F. Martin & Co.® introduces two new signature guitars in collaboration with Shawn Mendes: the limited-edition 000-28 Shawn Mendes and the Road Series 000-10E Shawn Mendes. These guitars draw inspiration from a vintage Martin model from the 1920s that Shawn used in his songwriting and recording process, offering a blend of intimacy and vintage charm for contemporary players.
Shawn Mendes, a longtime Martin player, previously worked with the company on the 000JR-10E Shawn Mendes model. The new partnership expands with two full-size 000 models, including a limited Style 28 instrument inspired by his stage guitar and a more accessible acoustic-electric option designed for performance.
The 000-28 Shawn Mendes is a limited edition model with only 88 guitars available worldwide. It features solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, a solid spruce top with antique toner, herringbone trim, and Golden Era scalloped X-bracing. Vintage-inspired details like a pyramid-style ebony bridge, faux tortoise pickguard, and custom mother-of-pearl eagle inlay on the ebony fingerboard add to its unique appeal.
On the other hand, the 000-10E Shawn Mendes offers a more accessible option for a wider range of players. Constructed with FSC-certified tonewoods, including solid sapele back and sides and a solid spruce top, this Road Series guitar delivers a warm, balanced tone with scalloped X-bracing for enhanced resonance. It features signature details like a faux tortoise pickguard, eagle inlay made from FSC-certified sapele, and a straightline pyramid bridge.
