Tragic Pedestrian Accident in Pickering Parking Lot: A Call for Road Safety Awareness

A tragic incident occurred in a Pickering parking lot resulting in the death of a pedestrian who was struck by an SUV. The collision took place at 1105 Kingston Road around 10:15 p.m. on a Saturday evening. The pedestrian was hit by a black Ford SUV while walking through the parking lot, leading to the individual being trapped under the vehicle for a period of time. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the pedestrian did not survive the injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with the authorities.
Law enforcement responded to the scene promptly and took action to lift the Ford SUV to free the trapped pedestrian. Life-saving measures were performed, but unfortunately, the pedestrian's injuries were fatal.
