Former Florida Gators Outfielder Blake Cyr Begins Professional Baseball Journey with New York Yankees
Blake Cyr, a former Florida Gators outfielder, has embarked on his post-collegiate baseball journey after completing his eligibility with the team. He was selected by the New York Yankees in the 18th Round of the 2026 MLB Draft as the last Gator chosen and the only graduating senior from UF to be drafted. Cyr joins four other Gators who have also decided to pursue professional baseball careers after their collegiate stints.
