Monopoly: The Ultimate Reality Competition Series Coming to Netflix with $2 Million Prize

Netflix has given the green light to a reality competition series based on the popular board game Monopoly. The show, produced by Studio Lambert, will offer a grand prize of $2 million. Casting for the series has already begun, with a premiere scheduled for next year.
The competition will feature 12 contestants competing in a life-sized Monopoly Town Square. Players will start on equal footing but will need to accumulate wealth to survive. Every negotiation, decision, and dice roll will determine their fate, with bankrupt players being eliminated until one winner remains.
The series will be executive produced by Nia Yemoh, Tim Harcourt, Jack Burgess, Stephen Lambert, and Kim Murphy from Studio Lambert, along with Gabriel Marano and Zachary Edwin from Hasbro Entertainment. Netflix secured the rights to Monopoly from Hasbro last year, with the project being a priority for former unscripted head Jeff Gaspin.
Studio Lambert, known for producing hit shows like Squid Game: The Challenge, is behind this new Monopoly series. The company has a track record of successful reality shows and is now working on bringing the iconic board game to life on Netflix.
