Rock Through the Decades: The Rolling Stones Experience on Roblox
The Rolling Stones are set to make their debut on Roblox with an exciting new interactive experience that pays tribute to the band's impressive six-decade career. Scheduled to launch on July 10, the experience coincides with the release of the band's 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues. Players will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in various eras of The Rolling Stones through engaging gameplay, iconic music, and exclusive collectible rewards. In addition to the game itself, the band has collaborated with Roblox creators to introduce special avatar items and real-world merchandise that can be purchased directly within the game.
Created by Roblox Innovation Studio in partnership with creative agency Sawhorse and members of Roblox's creator community, the experience brings The Rolling Stones' musical legacy to life in a collaborative adventure. Players will journey through different decades of the band's career, where vibrant crystals inspired by the group's 2023 album, Hackney Diamonds, have trapped fragments of its history. By working together, players must locate and shatter these crystals while enjoying iconic songs from the corresponding era in the background. Each completed challenge will enhance the band's iconic tongue-and-lips logo, unleashing a surge of rock energy to unlock the next decade. The experience will evolve into a shared community event where everyone's progress contributes to unlocking the final performance. The game will be hosted within The Block, Roblox's ever-present entertainment hub where artists can create interactive experiences for players.
The excitement doesn't stop after the initial launch. From July 17 to July 19, Roblox will host a special finale event that changes every hour, focusing on different eras of The Rolling Stones. Each rotation will feature classic songs, themed visuals, interactive artwork, dynamic lighting, and visual effects inspired by the band's rich history. Players will have the opportunity to unlock in-game rewards and abilities inspired by The Rolling Stones throughout the event.
In addition to the game, Roblox has enlisted over a dozen creators from its global community to reimagine The Rolling Stones' iconic tongue-and-lips logo. This collaboration has resulted in a collection of exclusive avatar accessories that players can showcase within Roblox. Interestingly, some of these virtual designs will also be available as limited-edition physical merchandise through an in-game Shopify integration, enabling fans to purchase them directly from The Rolling Stones' online store without leaving Roblox.
The participating creators in this exciting collaboration include Jazzyx3, CASKA's HAUS, Touzled, Blizzei, DIONESS, morphist4u, WhoseTrade, Empyro, Bad_B0y, raekaro, Spiraxy, Valkenheim, DuckXander, Clockset, and dvdko.
