Daniel Kaluuya in Talks to Reprise Role as W’Kabi in Black Panther 3
Black Panther 3 is gearing up to bring back some familiar faces alongside new stars. The highly anticipated Marvel movie is rumored to feature David Jonsson as the new Black Panther and Letitia Wright as Shuri. Recent casting reports suggest that Daniel Kaluuya may also return to reprise his role as W’Kabi, T’Challa’s close friend from the first film.
According to industry insider Jeff Sneider, Daniel Kaluuya is in talks to return as W’Kabi in Black Panther 3 after sitting out the previous installment. Kaluuya’s potential comeback is sure to excite fans of the franchise, as his character played a significant role in the original Black Panther movie.
In the 2018 film, Kaluuya portrayed W’Kabi, the head of security for Wakanda’s Border Tribe and T’Challa’s loyal friend. Despite his absence in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, W’Kabi’s storyline was addressed, with Queen Ramonda revealing his banishment for treason after supporting Killmonger.
Daniel Kaluuya’s scheduling conflict with another project prevented his return for the sequel, but if the recent reports are accurate, fans can look forward to seeing W’Kabi’s journey unfold in Black Panther 3.
