The Return of the Wheatley Vodka Clash at Daytona: 2027 Race Details and Schedule
The Clash at Daytona, now known as the Wheatley Vodka Clash, is set to return to the Daytona International Speedway oval in 2027, preceding the 69th Daytona 500. The race was previously held at Daytona from 1979 to 2020, then moved to different locations like the Daytona road course and a temporary short track at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. In 2025 and 2026, the Clash took place at Bowman Gray Stadium, facing challenges like cold temperatures and snowfall. The upcoming Clash in 2027 will be held on Saturday night, February 13, at the Daytona oval.
Following the Clash, pole qualifying for the Daytona 500 will take place on Wednesday, February 17, with the Duels on Thursday, February 18, the Truck race on Friday, February 19, and the O'Reilly race on Saturday, February 20. The 69th Daytona 500 will then be held on Sunday, February 21. More details about the Clash format and eligibility rules will be revealed at a later date.
