Beatport is set to host its dance industry conference, Beatport Connect, in Los Angeles this fall. The event will take place at the W Hollywood on Sept. 25, featuring two rooms of programming. One room will focus on the cultural, technological, and industry trends in electronic music, while the second room will offer practical sessions on artist career development, including advice on branding, business, partnerships, and long-term career growth. Confirmed speakers include industry professionals and artists like Adrienne Fitzpatrick, Bailey Greenwood, Maddy Savage, Matt Gralen, Maurice Slade, Nicholas Douglas, Kitty Amor, MPH, salute, and Wuki, with more speakers to be announced.
The conference will cover topics such as the future of electronic music, building sustainable artist careers, synch licensing opportunities, and the evolving landscape of festivals and live events. Brands like Musical Beings, Hisong, Beatport.io, and Gigwell will also be part of the event. The day will kick off with a breakfast presented in partnership with Her Dancefloor, an organization supporting and connecting women in dance music.
