Top Prospect Jason Gardner Jr. Considering Ohio State Basketball Among Final Eight Schools
Ohio State basketball has made it to the final eight teams being considered by highly-rated point guard Jason Gardner Jr. The four-star prospect from Fishers High School in Indiana is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound combo guard and is ranked as the No. 63 player in the 2027 recruiting class. Along with Ohio State, Gardner is also looking at Auburn, Creighton, DePaul, Florida, Indiana, Mississippi State, and Stanford as potential destinations. He is scheduled to visit Ohio State on Oct. 3 and Auburn on Sept. 19.
Described as a physically gifted attacker, Gardner Jr. has the ability to disrupt defenses and be a strong presence on both ends of the court. Ohio State's head coach, Jake Diebler, and the team are looking to build on their recent exhibition success in Puerto Rico and secure Gardner Jr.'s commitment to further strengthen the roster.
