The average price of fast-food in major U.S. cities has risen to double digits, with the typical meal now costing $11.56, according to a report from LendingTree. San Francisco and Seattle have the highest prices, with the average meal costing $13.88 and $13.48, respectively. Despite Columbus, Ohio, offering the most affordable fast-food at $10.01 on average, rising costs are making fast-food less accessible for many consumers. With prices increasing by 39% to 100% over the last decade, lower- and middle-income Americans are feeling the pinch, especially fast-food workers whose average hourly wage is $15.07.
