Starkey says he was dismissed after being forced to take the blame for Daltrey's error, despite not making any mistakes himself. The drummer briefly rejoined the band but ultimately left again after it became clear that Daltrey couldn't work with him. Despite the tumultuous situation, Daltrey has hinted that there may be a possibility for Starkey to return to the band in the future. The Who's farewell US tour begins on August 16 in Florida.
