An anti-Iranian hacking group, possibly linked to Israel, launched an attack on Iran's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex, destroying nearly $90 million and threatening to expose the platform's source code. The group, known as Gonjeshke Darande, claimed responsibility for the attack, marking its second operation in two days. Nobitex, which allegedly helps the Iranian government evade sanctions and finance illicit activities, had its website taken offline as it investigated the unauthorized access to its systems. The hackers, who have a history of targeting Iran, moved the stolen funds to hacker-controlled wallets, effectively burning the money to send a political message to Nobitex. The attack, which targeted funds linked to groups hostile to Israel, highlights the ongoing cyber hostilities between the two nations.
