Carly Simon has come to the defense of Sabrina Carpenter's controversial album artwork for "Man's Best Friend," stating that she believes it is tame despite some criticism. Simon, who faced similar scrutiny for her own album artwork in the past, advised Carpenter not to worry about the negative press. While Simon acknowledged that the artwork may have gone a bit too far with the man's knee being touched, she overall sees nothing wrong with Carpenter being proud of her appearance. Simon also expressed gratitude for younger pop stars like Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo who have covered her songs. "Man's Best Friend" is set for release on August 29th, with Carpenter embarking on a new tour in October.
