Business leaders' confidence in the U.S. economy has halved since the beginning of the year, with optimism falling to 32 percent in June from 65 percent in January. Concerns over the economy are largely fueled by President Trump's trade agenda and geopolitical uncertainties. The recent Business Leaders Outlook Survey by JPMorgan Chase & Co. found that 25 percent of respondents expect a recession this year, up from 8 percent in January. Despite challenges such as uncertain economic conditions and tariffs, 78 percent of respondents expect revenue and sales to either increase or remain the same this year. The decline in confidence is reflected in both CEO and consumer confidence surveys, with concerns over tariffs and geopolitical instability cited as major risks.
