FX is close to ordering a pilot for a project based on Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein," titled "Very Young Frankenstein." Plot details are currently unknown, but Mel Brooks and Kevin Salter will serve as executive producers. The project will be led by Stefani Robinson as writer and showrunner, with Taika Waititi directing. Michael Gruskoff, the original film's producer, will also be an executive producer. 20th Television is the studio behind the project.
