York, 24, had 17 points in 66 games this season and ranked among the top defensemen in various categories. He was selected by the Flyers in the first round of the 2019 NHL Draft and has had a successful career so far, including representing the United States in international competitions. York played college hockey at the University of Michigan before joining the Flyers.
