President Donald Trump called for California Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff to be prosecuted for alleged mortgage fraud, claiming that Schiff engaged in a sustained pattern of possible Mortgage Fraud by claiming a Maryland home as his primary residence for more than a decade. Trump accused Schiff of getting a cheaper mortgage by falsely claiming Maryland as his primary residence when he should have been living in California as a Congressman. Schiff allegedly designated the Maryland property as his primary residence during multiple mortgage refinances, despite also claiming a condo in Burbank, California, as a primary residence. Trump criticized Schiff for the alleged fraud and called for him to be brought to justice.
