A tsunami warning was issued for a lightly populated area of Alaska's southern coast following a magnitude 7.3 earthquake. The warning extended from southwest of Homer to Unimak Pass, covering about 700 miles. Communities like Kodiak, Sand Point, Unalaska, and King Cove were urged to move to higher ground.
