The screenplay will be adapted by Drew Pearce, known for his work on "Fall Guy" and "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation." The project is currently being shopped around Hollywood without a studio attached. Judge Dredd, created in the 1970s, is a law enforcement officer in a dystopian society with the power to act as judge, jury, and executioner. The character has previously been portrayed in films by Sylvester Stallone and Karl Urban, with mixed success at the box office.
