Disney's Hollywood Studios is set to introduce a new animation-themed experience inspired by the Emmy-winning short film Once Upon a Studio. The Magic of Disney Animation will replace the current Star Wars: Launch Bay location and is scheduled to open in 2026. The attraction will feature a whimsical design resembling the Roy E. Disney Animation Building and offer interactive elements showcasing classic Disney characters taking over the studio. Visitors can look forward to character greetings, a children's playground inspired by Mary Blair's art, and a transformed courtyard reflecting Disney's filmmaking legacy. Some current attractions will close to make way for the new experience, but The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Walt Disney Presents will remain open during the transition.
