Lucinda Williams, Laura McCarthy, and Kelley Swindall are reopening the East Village space that once housed Brownies with a new name, Lucinda’s. The venue will feature weekly bluegrass picking nights, songwriter open mics, live country performances, and karaoke. The space will also showcase photography and art by various artists. Lucinda will perform at a private opening show on July 29, with the venue opening to the public on July 31. The initial schedule includes live country music, band country karaoke, songwriter open mic nights, and a monthly queer country party.
