Sheri Lilley and her family's lives were forever changed on January 29 when her stepson, Sam, a commercial airline pilot, died in a midair collision over the Potomac River. The crash, the deadliest in the US in 24 years, left the family devastated. Tim and Sheri, both former military pilots, sought answers and pushed for aviation safety improvements. They met with lawmakers, including Senators and the Transportation Secretary, to advocate for change.
